ROSS HAUL

Okay so me and my husband and daughter went to Ross yesterday just becuase we were bored at home. If you don't know what Ross is, its basically a store that sells name brand items at a discount. We went in with no expectations just to look around. Well when we walked in the first thing we see is the purses and the like beauty products. So we came across this. It is Coconut Bath Salts (Dead Sea Salt). Now the reason why we picked htis up is because my husband takes a lot of baths. And I usually just shower. But my skin has been really dry lately and I have been really tense so we grabbed this. AND LET ME TELL YOU, I used it last night and I felt so dang relaxed after that I just wanted to go to sleep but kept myself busy so i wouldnt. I LOVE IT! And it was only $3.99. I love a Bargain! :)
The next thing we came across were some little decorations for our house. They were both only $3.99!!!! We are Christians and love to have scriptures and crosses around our house so we just had to grab these! What a DEAL!
The next thing we found were these JORDANS for my husband. Can you believe it! only $29.99!!! I looked them up online to see if they were worth it and they were selling online for $175.00. We didnt even think twice about getting them. And they were the only ones and in his size. THANK YOU JESUS. My husband never buys himself anything so When we went I just wanted him to get stuff and not me. So he also got a nice dress shirt for work. He also had this nice jacket but put it back at the last second. Then we went to find shoes for my daughter but there was nothing. But we are going to go to Marshalls where they had some cute jordans for her for only $25.00! But while we were in the childrens shoe section we came across these......
For only $11.99!!!!! Can you believe that! These Shoes are so dope! When I wear Tennis Shoes I like to wear Funky shoes with different colors and styles. Now I told my Husband I wasnt there to buy myself anything but he insisted I get them because of how great of a deal they were. And I just couldnt deny that this was a STEAL! So for $11.99 I walked away with some HOT kicks! Well I hope you guys enjoyed this post. If you ever got anything that just felt like a steal let me know in a comment. I love to hear about a great buy! :) Have a Uniquely Awesome day. GOD BLESS.

This is my version of Sexy Date night Valentine Day Makeup. Its a bit dramatic but can always be toned down a little depending on  your liking. I started off with MAC Painterly Paint Pot and applied it all over the eye area. Then I used my POP Beauty makeup kit and added a light shimmery color all over the lid, into the tear duct and under the inner half of my lower eye. Then I used my Coastal Scents Matte Pallet and used the bright pink that is five rows in from the right up one. And I applied it all over my crease and  up to just under the highlight area of your brow bown. Then I added Black to the outer corder and brought it on the outer 1/4 of my lid and into the crease,. Then I added the pink to the bottom half of my eyes and added black to the bottom 1/4. I then added thick eyeliner using N.Y.C Liquid liner and added Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara to my top and bottom lashes. Finish this look off with a very light peachy pink blush. Some contouring and a nice shimmery nude lip. To see my tutorial on it visit my YouTube page: www.youtube.com/rsjrodriguez . I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a uniquely awesome day and GOD BLESS!

OH-SO-PEACHIE

Today I was in such a hurry for work because I woke up late so I did my makeup in the car. Well honestly, I almost always do my makeup in the car on my way to work. I KNOW I KNOW thats horrible and yes I am "one of those girls". lol. Well I decided to do something different and go for a peachie corralie look. I dont have Mascara on in these pictures because as I was parked in the parking lot of my office doing my eyeliner, My Boss pulls up so I stopped what I was doing and went to my office. lol. He was like....Hanging out in the parking lot huh. hahaha I was like "NO just finishing up my makeup" and he laughs haha.
So basiclly what I did was prime my eyes with Rubenesque paint pot from MAC. Then I took my trusty coastal scents pallet out and put on an orange eyeshadow on my lid. I used a fluffy brush for this only because I didnt want it too orange. Once I applied that over my lid, I then took a pretty corral color and took the same brush used for my lid and circled the corral color to my crease and extended it up and out. I was going to leave it like that, very simple but then I decided to take a brown shadow and add it to the crease. Then I took a flesh like color shadow and used it as my highlight. As you can see I put black liner on and never got to finish with Mascara. This is a very simple look that I actually really like. I might have to check out that new collection from Bobby Brown that is filled with Corral colors. This is good for Summer to get that beachy look. Hope you guys enjoyed. Have a Uniquely awesome day fit for a Queen like you! GOD BLESS.

Verse of the Day:

Luke 9:62 (LB) ANYONE WHO LETS HIMSELF BE DISTRACTED FROM THE WORK I PLAN FOR HIM IS NOT FIT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

It is so easy for us to be distracted by the things of this world. Money, Cars, Luxuries, Love, Fame etc. Don't get me wrong these are not bad things to strive for, but when the desire to strive for those things become more than your desire to draw closer to GOD and fulfull his work then thats when you are not Fit for the Kingdom of God. I am definitley not perfect and have found myself distracted more than once. Again we are human but that is not an excuse. We have to look inside ourselves and clean out those things that are UN-GODLY and Pray for God to cleanse us on a daily basis. To guide us in the right direction. To help us keep our eyes on the narrow road that leads to rightousness. Because throughout the day we can find ourselves steering away from the narrow road to follow the wide road that leads to distruction. And because that road is so wide we can tend to find ourselves following it more and more on a daily basis.
BUT NO MORE! We must fight the temptations that this World so openly wants to give us. We must take our eyes off ourselves and focus on GOD and the needs of those around us so that we may be called "Fit for the Kingdom of God."
I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a uniquely awesome day! :) GOD BLESS.

Verse of the Day

Today's Verse

The word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.

— Psalm 33:4-5 (NIV)

So I am going to not only start writting a verse of the day on my blog but I am also going to write it down in my handy little journal you all saw in my January Favorites Blog. The reason for this is because we all love to read inspirational quotes and what not but The real inspiration come from the Bible. What more could you ask for but the Word of God to get you through the day to inspire and encourage. And I thought this was the perfect one to start off with.
God is always faithful and he has a plan for each and every one of our lives to be used to reach and touch those around us. All we have to do is believe in him and follow him in all righteousness. If you have truley accepted God in your heart and in your life then walking in righteousness should be fairly easy for you because God resides in you and he is the only perfect thing to ever exist.
So in conclusion, God is always faithful to those who love him. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Look at his unfailing love around you and do un to others as you would have them do unto you. Walk in righteousness and the Lord will call you his good and faithful servant. AMEN.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Have a uniquely awesome day fit for a queen like you and GOD BLESS.

Mini Haul

I dropped my husband off at church last night because him and a couple of guys were setting up for Super bowl Sunday which we are having at my church. So since I really didnt want to be there with a bunch of guys  I decided to go look for a dress for Tomorrow. I am going to my Best Friends mom and dads 25th wedding anniversary. They are re-doing their vowels in the same church they got married in and then having a reception after. Unfortunatley I cant make it to the wedding part because I have a baby shower to go to but I still needed a dress for the reception. So I went to this one little fahion store by my church and found a really cute dress. It was Navy Blue with a bunch of big red flowers all over it. Man that right there was a daring piece for me. I am not really into all that flowery stuff. Although I wish I was. So I tried it on and loved it and as I was getting ready to buy it I remembered there was another store a couple of doors down that i wanted to check out. So I put the dress back and just left with the Headband shown above ($1.99)  for my daughter and a simple long white cami ($4.00).  So I went to check out the other store and found a couple of dresses I liked but nothing that would be better than the other one until I came across this one. YES the one shown above. I know I know its black! And I am trying to stay away from black but it was just too cute on. I love the detailing on the neck line and the shoulders and the back is a razer back! Its really cute it flows straight down and is a mini dress. at the botton it has like the bubble dress feel in that it comes in tight under the fabric to clinch your thighs without looking like it. It still looks flowy. It was $30.00 which was not too bad but the other one was only $21.00. I still cant get that dres sout of my head so I am thinking I am going to go back for it. It is one of those dresses where you can wear as it or add a blazer on top, maybe a scarf and leggins and it would look completly different. AHHH I am in love! WITH FLORAL PRINT??!?!?!?! CRAZY! hahaha. Ok guys I am just rambling now. So I hope you enjoyed this mes sof a blog and Ill see you in the next. Have a uniquely awesome day. GOD BLESS.

How to Blue

Today I opted for blue eyeshadow. Now I know that Blue can be a very bad color for the eyes. But it all depends on how you do it. I am not saying my way is the bomb haha but I am saying that it is a more wearable look. So what I did is basically applied rubenesque paint pot from mac and applied it all over my eyes. This helps your eyeshadows stay and last all day. Then I whooped out my trusty Coastal Scents Matte pallet and took the brightest blue and applied it all over my lid but left a little spot on the inner corner shadowless. Then I mixed a very very light beige brown with a muted green brown and blended it right above the blue into my crease and brought it up to just about under my brow bone leaving room for highlight. I tried to bring a little bit of the blue up into the mixture of browns so it blended nicely and wasnt just blue / then brown. That might look a little funny with defined colors like that. So once I was happy with the colors I took the black eyeshadow from the coastal scents pallet and applied it to the outer corner and used small circular motions and brought it in about 1/4  and blended blended blended. Then I took a little more black and used windshield wiper motions in the crease. After all said and done I did my eyebrown and then added some highlight to my brow and the inner corner of my eye and brought it down about half way on my bottom lash line. I also took the blue shadow and took underneath my eye about half way and blended the two colors in the middle. And waalaa. There you have it ladies A pretty blue wearable look. Please excuse my lips as I have like no lipstick on because it was lunch time! HAHAHA. A girls gotta eat! I hope you guys like. Please leave me a comment on what looks you would like to see. Thank you. Have an awesomely uniqe day fit for a queen like you! GOD BLESS.
