Purple eyehsadows

I always wonder why I turn to purple eyeshadows alot. And you know after giving it a good thought I was like duh!!!!! Maybe because Purple makes my Hazel brown eyes stand out! lol. And the pictures above PROVE THAT THEORY! So I got my Manly Pallet in the mail last week and I was stoked! I have been waiting on this to come in for exactly one month! I ordered it off of ebay because it was dirt cheep but that was because it was coming from Hong Kong and it took FOREVER to get into my hands! But it has beautiful colors and very  pigmented. It has 120 colors to choose from! I have been wanting to get very creative with all the bright colors and I did so in a tutorial I posted on my Youtube account: www.youtube.com/rsjrodriguez . So with this look I took a very deep plum purple and placed that all over my lid. Then I got a very light shimmery purple and layered that above the deep purple in the crease. Next I took the very pigmented black and defined my outer corner and crease with it. After that there is this vanilla color that I used as a highlight and also as the tear duct highlight. Then I took the deep purple and dragged that under my eye about half way in and blended the vanilla color with it in the middle. I used my MAC Fluidline in blacktrack to line my lids and a little bit under my lower lashes. Topped that off with my Covergirl Lashblast to my upper and lower lashes and My eyes were set. For my eyebrows I used the Elf brow kit. For my face (mind you I look extremely pale because of the flash on my phone) I used Revlon Colorstay in True Beige. Add my Studio fix concealer to my problem areas then dabbed a little studiofix powder to seal it all together. For My blush I used Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Comfort and then a pink blush on my apples. I don't have any lipstick on because my lips are extremely chapped so I am just wearing my softlips chapstick in Vanilla. MAKEUP & OOTD

Since today I am wearing like a Burnt Orange Vest and some brown leggings and Brown boots I decided to add some of those colors into my eyeshadow.

Sorry I couldnt get my outfit in a mirror. I am at work and so ...yeah! lol. Well what I am wearing is a plain white t-shirt, a Burnt Orange long Vest, Some brown leggings, and some brown boots. And because I am always cold in my office I am wearing a black coat. Can you guys see the baby bump in the first picture. :) haha. Okay my chichadees I hope you have a Uniquely Awesome day! February Favorites

So March is here and it is now time for my February Favorites. First on my list is Softlips in Vanilla. I LOVE THIS STUFF! The vanilla just smells and "tastes" lol so good.

Then I have the Mary Kay Lip Mask. This stuff works wonders! You leave it on for a couple of minutes before whiping it off. This exfoliates your lips and takes off all the dead skin making them beautiful!

Then of course I have Palmers Cocoa Butter creams because you all know I am expecting. :) So this will be my best friend for the next year or so lol. But honestly I also use it on parts of my face that are extremely dry overnight and it is healing it quickly. I love this stuff. I have the jar at home which I use on my face and body and the tube in my purse which I use on my body Then I love NYX Narcissus lipstick and E.L.F Powder brush. It puts on the powder flawlessly. Outfit of the Day

Today I came to work half casual half dressy. I was undecided if I actually wanted to get all ready for work so the first thing I threw on were my straight legged Purple Corduroy pants. Yeah I said PURPLE CORDUROY lol. Then I threw on my white tank top. After scrambling around for a little to find a top I found my see through white t-shirt with a built in black buttoned up vest over it. So I threw that on. Then I put my Black Blazer over it and folded it to right under my elbow. Threw on my black Guess high heels and then since i woke up late I threw my hair up into a clip literally in like 15 seconds lol. Added a bracelet, earings, necklace and was out the door. My makeup was done in the car. hahaha I added a light shimmery white color to my lid, basic medium brown to my crease and black in the outer corner and onto my lower lid. This my basic go to makeup whenever I am in a hurry or dont feel like doing anything different. I have Studio fix concealer on topped with studiofix powder. Pink blush, contouring, brown shadow for my eyebrows. NYC liquid eyeliner and covergirl mascara. I had lipliner and lipstick on but I had just got done eating and it whiped off. Hope you enjoyed. Purple Shmirple

So I have really been diggin the purple eyeshadows lately. Why you may ask? I have no clue haha. If you notice, I really like dark dramatic makeup. And because I have my coastal scents Pallet with every color eyeshadow I like to play around with them. Since I wear a lot of black its easier to wear different color eyeshadows because everything goes with black! Anyways, Just thought I would post my makeup for today. Mini Haul

I dropped my husband off at church last night because him and a couple of guys were setting up for Super bowl Sunday which we are having at my church. So since I really didnt want to be there with a bunch of guys  I decided to go look for a dress for Tomorrow. I am going to my Best Friends mom and dads 25th wedding anniversary. They are re-doing their vowels in the same church they got married in and then having a reception after. Unfortunatley I cant make it to the wedding part because I have a baby shower to go to but I still needed a dress for the reception. So I went to this one little fahion store by my church and found a really cute dress. It was Navy Blue with a bunch of big red flowers all over it. Man that right there was a daring piece for me. I am not really into all that flowery stuff. Although I wish I was. So I tried it on and loved it and as I was getting ready to buy it I remembered there was another store a couple of doors down that i wanted to check out. So I put the dress back and just left with the Headband shown above ($1.99)  for my daughter and a simple long white cami ($4.00).  So I went to check out the other store and found a couple of dresses I liked but nothing that would be better than the other one until I came across this one. YES the one shown above. I know I know its black! And I am trying to stay away from black but it was just too cute on. I love the detailing on the neck line and the shoulders and the back is a razer back! Its really cute it flows straight down and is a mini dress. at the botton it has like the bubble dress feel in that it comes in tight under the fabric to clinch your thighs without looking like it. It still looks flowy. It was $30.00 which was not too bad but the other one was only $21.00. I still cant get that dres sout of my head so I am thinking I am going to go back for it. It is one of those dresses where you can wear as it or add a blazer on top, maybe a scarf and leggins and it would look completly different. AHHH I am in love! WITH FLORAL PRINT??!?!?!?! HAUL - Downtown LA / Forever 21

I received these two shirts in LA and they were 2 for $10.00

I got these three tight in LA and they were 3 for $10.00 I got Beige, Black and Purple. They stop at the calf.

I got this very thin sweatshirt in LA with the sinched up bat wing sleaves in la and it was $16.99.

These were $14.99 in LA

I got this cute Military style type vest that goes mid stomach for $12.99 in LA

This Long burnt Orange vest was $7.99 in LA

I got this thin black overlay vest in LA for $12.99

That is about it for the clothing I got in LA. I got a lot of jewlery though so all the things shown below are from LA and range from .99 cents to about 3.99 the most.

 

I also got 2 pairs of Glasses that my aunt bought for me for my B-DAY. They were 3 for $10.00 so she kept one pair and let me pick out 2 for me.

Then I got these shoes that I have been dying to get! I absolutley love them and am wearing them today! They were in LA for $25.00

Yesterday I went to Forever 21 and bought the following items:

These rings were on clearance and were put together and it was $3.00 for both.

I bought this headband for my daughter which she fell in love with in the store and didnt take it off. It was on clearance for $2.99

Last but not least I bought these heels which I am loving at Forever 21 and they were $24.50

I hope you guys enjoyed this haul. If you live in Southern California I encourage you to hit up down town LA. They have alot of cute things for very affordable prices. I hadent been there in like a year and a half and I fell back in love with it and told my husband we have to go atleast ONCE A MONTH! No less! lol.
