February Favorites

So March is here and it is now time for my February Favorites. First on my list is Softlips in Vanilla. I LOVE THIS STUFF! The vanilla just smells and "tastes" lol so good.

Then I have the Mary Kay Lip Mask. This stuff works wonders! You leave it on for a couple of minutes before whiping it off. This exfoliates your lips and takes off all the dead skin making them beautiful!

Then of course I have Palmers Cocoa Butter creams because you all know I am expecting. :) So this will be my best friend for the next year or so lol. But honestly I also use it on parts of my face that are extremely dry overnight and it is healing it quickly. I love this stuff. I have the jar at home which I use on my face and body and the tube in my purse which I use on my body Then I love NYX Narcissus lipstick and E.L.F Powder brush. It puts on the powder flawlessly. Tired! Sick! Tired! Sick!

Oh Boy these past couple of weeks I have been sooo tired! My Dr. Told me that during your first 8 weeks is when you get nautious, tired, and sick. Well he wasn't kidding. This past Sunday I was so nautious. We were leaving church and I made my husband wait about 5 minutes sitting in the car before we left. I just felt like I was going to throw up. So I just closed my eyes laid my head back with the doors open and the sunroof open and it went away after about 5 minutes. But that was the longest 5 minutes ever! Then on Monday I didn't even go to work because I was so tired and nautious again. I stood in bed or was laying on the couch all day long in my PJ'S. I slept in till about 10am then woke up and then fell back asleep at 12:30pm on the couch then woke up at 2:00pm. Took another nap in my room with my husband and daughter at 5:00pm for about an hour then fell back asleep for the night at like 10:00pm. I was probably the most tired and lazy than I have ever been! But let me tell you, it felt so good to just sleep and relax for a day. My life is always busy and on the go that I rarely get to relax and nap! I am so thankful that my husband didn;t even bother me to stay up or help around the house. He did it all while I napped with a smile on his face. But when I woke up at 2 I did clean the kitchen because I felt kind of bad. lol. KINDA :). The funny thing is that I am constantly yawning at work. And I think even twice I fell asleep for a couple minutes on my desk hahaha. Well Just thought I would share with you my experiences with Tiredness and Sickness from pregnancy. CRAVINGS!

Man I am barely pregnant and already have cravings! One week before I found out I was pregnant I already knew it because I was craving Chineese Fast Food and Yogurtland everyday for that one week. Then I have been craving and eating Yogurt every morning. I switch between Strawberry and Strawberry and Bannana. Today is Strawberry. I was at work yesterday and I picked up the phone, called my husband and told him, "I WANT BUFFALO WINGS FOR DINNER!!!" lol. He was like OK. I love my Husband! My mouth was drooling for some buffalo wings.
Everytime I see a pregnant women and I see them eating Chile I always tell them what my first Dr. told me, " Don't eat chile and spicey food because it can give your baby heartburn!" And now that I am pregnant it is mostly what I have been loving! lol. Ironic right! SHAME ON ME! I was sitting there eating buffalo wings last night and then when I was tired of the chicken I got my finger and dragged it on the bottom of the plate and licked all the buffalo sauce off. Hahaha I know I know. I even did that with TAPATIO and normally I don't like Tapatio but NOW I DO!
I think it is so crazy how your taste changes and you crave specific things. My first Pregnany I always craved Pizza with fresh lime juice squerted on top haha. I made my husband try it before and he practically almost threw up lol. I didn't get it because to me it was delicious!!! I even made all of his guy friends try it and they practically barfed too! lol. Well sorry for the randomness but I thought it was pretty interesting the way the whole cravings things works. So for those of you who are not mothers and will be one day, BEWARE OF THE CRAVINGS! lol. :)

Coastal Scents vs. BH Cosmetics

As most of you know there are several companies out there that sell Makeup Pallets complete with either eyeshadows, blushes, contouring and highlight, lip gloss, concealer, makeup brushes etc. There are two in particular which I am going to do a comparison on, they are Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics. The reason I am doing this comparison is because like I said there are several companies out there and sometimes it could be confusing as to which one to go with. So hopefully this post will help in any way shape or form. I am not affiliated with either company, I am not getting paid for this review and this is my honest unbiased opinion. Any products purchased was with my own money or by my friend. Ok, so now that we got that out of the way lets get started.

Coastal Scents is based out of Naples, Florida. They not only sell makeup pallets and brushes, but they also sell Makeup Ingredients, Skin Care Ingredients, Butters and Soaps, Aroma Theropy stuff, Bath Fizzies, Packaging etc. So they are very versitile in what they sell. They have different shipping methods based upon where you live that you can chose from and it will calculate the different rates based upon your zip code and state. They ship internationally as well. There is no Animal testing of these products which is an A+ in my eyes.

BH Cosmetics is based out of North Hollywood, CA. They only sell Makeup Pallets, and brushes. They also have different shipping methods but it is just one flat rate for each option. They ship Internationally as well. They do not Test on animals which is an A+ again in my eyes.

Okay now for product comparison. Please take a look at their websites also:

Both companies sell an 88 Matte and Shimmer Pallets.
Coastal Scents Matte Pallet goes for $18.95 and Shimmer Pallet goes for $19.95
BH Cosmetics Matte Pallet goes for $19.95 and Shimmer Pallet goes for $21.95
As you can see they are the same products same pallets but Coastal Scents is a little cheaper.

Both have an 88 Warm /Neutral Pallet and 28 Neutral Pallet.
C.S. 88 Warm Pallet goes for $24.95, 28 Neutral Pallet is $18.95.
BH 88 Neutral Pallet goes for $24.95, 28 Neutral Pallet is $19.95.

Both have a 66 lips color Pallet
C.S. is $18.95
BH is $19.95

Both have a blush and Contour Pallet
C.H. 10 piece Blush is $15.95 and contour is $18.95.
B.H. 10 piece Blush is $16.95 and Contour is $19.95

One thing That Coastal Scents has that BH cosmetics doesnt have are double stack eyeshadow and blush pallets that come with 42 shadows and 10 blushes for $24.95.
But BH Cosmetics has their own double stack pallet that is 120 eyeshadow Pallet for $29.95.

Both of them sell quality brushes. Although I must say that I own Coastal Scents Brushes and my friend owns BH Cosmetic brushes and hers are very Soft and nice with the wood handles. Mine are soft as well with Black handles. Hers are a little softer than mine but mine are a lot more dense and help with the shadow application alot better because the shadows are so pigmented.

I also noticed that my Coastal Scents Pallet vs Her BH Cosmetic Pallet does not have much eyeshadow fall out as hers does. When we were applying her shadows, the color was falling all over our cheek bones and then when we tried to wipe it off it left a color stain. My Pallet didnt have much fall out and the little that there was wiped off very easily without stain.

Overall I would have to say that I prefer Coastal Scents over BH Cosmetics. They are cheaper in price, and their quality is a little better than BH Cosmetics especially for the price! Coastal Scents I will give an A and BH Cosmetics I will give a B.

SUPRISE SUPRISE!!!!!

So I just couldn't wait to share this information with you guys. I have been holding it for a little over a week now because I wanted to wait till this past Friday. But on Friday I went to the Dr. and I am now about 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Yep that is right, I am going to be a mommy for the second time. It is so crazy thinking that I will be having another child but my husband and daughter are exstatic! My daughter cant hardly wait. She already tells me can we take the baby out now! lol. It is so cute. She can't wait to be a big sister. And my husband, well he has been wanting a second child and I didnt. I was done and fine with 1! But in order to make him and my daughter happy I decided to give it a try and if God wanted us to have another one he will provide it. It took me about 3 months to finally get pregnant. So Now, I can not only share my love of makeup and beauty with you guys but I can take you along with me on my journey of pregnancy. Haul ~ NYX $1 SALE

FINALLY! My NYX products came in! I purchased these online January 18 and just received them yesterday February 18! It took a whole month for them to be in my hands! Although I was getting very frustrated because come one a girl wants her cosmetics, I am very happy that they are in now. I mean I guess for $1.00 each product I can't complain too much....or can I? lol j/k I am super happy theyare here and none of them were broken. So here is a list of products I got. Today I tried out the Sahara eyeshadowall over my lid, and added coastal scents brown to my crease, Thunder Blue eyeliner under my eyes, the highlight cream on top of my cheek bones and the bridge of my nose, Rose lip liner, and Narcissus lipstick mixed with Mac Cherish lipstick, Mac Comfort Mineralized Skin Finish and a basic pink blush. I also used Elf eyebrow Kit.

Outfit of the Day

Today I came to work half casual half dressy. I was undecided if I actually wanted to get all ready for work so the first thing I threw on were my straight legged Purple Corduroy pants. Yeah I said PURPLE CORDUROY lol. Then I threw on my white tank top. After scrambling around for a little to find a top I found my see through white t-shirt with a built in black buttoned up vest over it. So I threw that on. Then I put my Black Blazer over it and folded it to right under my elbow. Threw on my black Guess high heels and then since i woke up late I threw my hair up into a clip literally in like 15 seconds lol. Added a bracelet, earings, necklace and was out the door. My makeup was done in the car. hahaha I added a light shimmery white color to my lid, basic medium brown to my crease and black in the outer corner and onto my lower lid. This my basic go to makeup whenever I am in a hurry or dont feel like doing anything different. I have Studio fix concealer on topped with studiofix powder. Pink blush, contouring, brown shadow for my eyebrows. NYC liquid eyeliner and covergirl mascara. I had lipliner and lipstick on but I had just got done eating and it whiped off. Hope you enjoyed.
