“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”- Romans 8:38-39

Although things come your way to distract you and draw you away from him, if you keep your eyes on God and love him all your heart then there is nothing that can take you away from him. Proverbs 15:5

 

This scripture goes well with the 5th commandment :“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you."

If you see GOD is very serious about Honoring your parents. Listening to them, loving them, following their rules. But also, you can look at it as GOD is our heavenly father and therefore we must obey him. We must read scripture and follow it and apply it to our daily lives so that we may be lead always in the right direction. So that we may be WISE! VERSE OF THE DAY

Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for Man."

I LOVE THIS SCRIPTURE!  To me, it is telling me that anything I do I need to do it to my full potential. I need to do it whole heartidly with joy and compassion. Do it for good and not for distruction. The Lord sees everything you do and he knows if you are doing it from your heart and with everything you have. And he is pleased. But man can see the same thing and still not be pleased. Man will always let you down. That is why we trust in the Lord and do things unto him. Not one thing we do suprises him because he knows all. So when I feel like I don't want to do something or I am getting too lazy, I just reflect back on this scripture and it gives me a new motivation to keep doing what I was doing and do it with everything in me!
